Apr 5, 2016Great productThe product worked as described. I found that some of my older technical gear lost its water beading ability. After using the product as directed my gear is once again repelling water.

Mar 31, 2016Waterproofing gearProduct is very easy to use and works very well. Have washed all my light rain gear to rejuvinate their water repellant properties. I' very pleased with the results.

Followed instructions to the letter for both the Cleaner and then the Waterproofing. Took the MH jacket out for the first time since and jacket was soaked in less than ten minutes exposure to light mist/rain. Will be contating my local REI tomorrow to request a refund of $ paid for product. -

Read More Kiwami triathlon suits are top of the line wear used by national teams. It is light water repelling wear for the swim, bike, run. Kiwami care directions are to rinse and hand dry. But what if you get it dirty? Nikwax Tech Wash gets out the dirt and growdiness. Had mud from the lake bottom on mine and I spot cleaned the area with the wash before washing. Whew, it came out clean. Nikwax Wash-In then seems to restore the water repellent nature of the suit. So while the suit feels softer than new, I can still see the water beading off. Recommendations: I use a cap of each. This seems to work and I want to use up both at the same time. I also hate to read directions and labels so any simplification would help. For example: when then they say wash in synthetic do they mean Perm-press in the U.S.? Maybe adding the direction to spot clean with a sponge before washing would be a good add. So other than my own ineptitude around the washer and anxiety with caring for my good "stuff", Nikwax works. -

Read More I used the Nikwax combo wash / retreat kit to hopefully revive an REI Goretex rain jacket that had lost its water repellency. Wash seemed to work fine and had no issues there. Followed the directions to the letter on both the wash and the TX Direct treatment. Thought everything was fine until I wore the jacket in a light rainstorm in Yellowstone. After about an hour of being in and out of the rain I noticed that my shoulders were wet on the inside as were other areas. There was next to zero beading of water on the jacket and I was wet! Do not recommend this product at all. Perhaps I got a bad batch but am very displeased. -

Read More I purchased this item to refresh the waterproofing on a shell jacket and a recently purchased hybrid synthetic down jacket. This product worked perfectly and as advertised. I did have to wash the shell jacket twice in the DWR treatment in order to get the level of waterproofing that I desired. To be fair, the jacket had not been washed for some time so with frequent washes I'm sure that a single wash would be sufficient. After the wash I was able to field test the shell and synthetic down jackets in the rain and snow with no issues to report. This is a great product and I would recommend it to others. I will also try ReviveX in the future as a point of comparison. -
Mar 5, 2014Great stuff!!I used this cleaner to clean my Motorcycle riding suit that was very dirty. And it did a great job. I had noticed when I used it the last time my suit repelled water very well.
