Read More I am a little crazy about sun exposure, particularly when it comes to my child. This hat protects his face and neck from the sun without needing to slather him with sunscreen. It is the only hat so far he will tolerate, though sometimes he prefers the brim flipped up so he can see better. My son is 16 months and it fits him fine. I bought the size 2-5 years, so imagine it will fit him for a long time as long as we don't lose it. -
Jun 23, 2013Great hatMy son wears this hat and doesn't complain about it on long hikes, and we can avoid worrying about suncreen on his face and neck. Recommend!

Read More This hat was a gift from my mother to her grandson. We bought the youth size instead of the appropriate-per-the-measurements child size. The hat adjusts down so much that it fits just fine on his 20" head and there is no way he ever would tolerate wearing the chin strap of the child size. He likes the hat, but I notice him being frustrated putting it on sometimes since there is such a definite front and back when it is on, but not as simple as putting on his baseball hats while running out the door (he will be 4 later this summer). When I offered to let him try an old Columbia one of mine similar to the Sunday Afternoons bucket hat that doesn't have such a defined front & back so we could also get one of those later this summer he flatly refused stating that he loves the play hat. The important part is that he actually wears a full coverage hat this summer so we will see how this goes. -

Read More I bought this hat for my son, who's almost a year old. It's a little big, but he doesn't seem to mind and will grow into it. He keeps it on and it provides very good shade. I liked this size, because unlike the infant one, it has the mesh sides for breathability. It seems to be made well and the strap is easily adjustable and sturdy. -

Read More I have one of these hats for each of my children. They turned out to be a life-saver! Summers in Arizona mean spending hours by the pool and these hats have made a huge difference for my kids and not getting sunburned on their faces and shoulders/necks. They also have an adjustment at the back of the head. Will protect their face and shoulders and has a fastener that can be worn to hold hat on in case of wind or swimming. Perfect for an active day!
Read More I picked up two of these hats about a year ago and can say I'm impressed with how well they have taken abuse from my kids. The hats still look great and the kids don't mind wearing them. Thumbs Up.
