Read More I wore these through the 100-mile wilderness and up Katahdin. Also, I did a one-day pemi loop in them. I have cube-shaped feet and no other shoes fit properly until I found the Wildcats. Although fit is most important, another great characteristic of these shoes is that they dry very quickly after they get wet. They also help keep your feet cool. Also, the laces don't have to be tied tightly for the shoe to fit snugly because of the socky-thing that holds your foot inside the shoe. Awesome shoes! I use the GTX version in the snow and ice (anytime it's below 25 degrees or if the snow is more than two inches deep. I would have given them five stars, but they aren't very durable. Maybe they could fix that--my first two pair got me about 700 miles. -

Read More From the first time I tried on the Wildcats, they've been a perfect fit! I'm now on my 4th pair and seem to have a habit of wearing them too often. They are a great all around athletic shoe - I use them for running a few times a week and for dry-weather hiking. My feet run narrow, and in comparison to other trail-running shoes I've owned, the Wildcats do not seem to get sloppy over time. The only con from my experience is that the soles wear out too quickly (usually get a new pair every year). Then again... I do wear them quite often. -

Read More I hiked the John Muir Trail as well as 10 mountain peaks along the way (300+ miles) and they were fantastic. My only complaint is that I bought them new for the trip, and by the end they were pretty close to dead, heal cushions tattered, soles and tread shredded. However, they were extremely comfortable, giving me not a single blister the entire time, breath very well, dry quickly, are ultra light-weight, and have the best grip of any shoe I've ever worn. I love these shoes, and will buy many pairs for the years to come. I highly recommend these to anyone looking for an awesome long distance hiking shoe.
Read More These are hands down one of the most comfortable pair of trail shoes I have ever owned, and I've been around awhile. I was a bit concerned about trying the La Sportiva brand for reasons I now really question. I have a pretty wide foot and find it difficult to get trail shoes that support well and don't pinch or rub. I had presumed the Sportivas would be narrow because of the European design. I was completely wrong. Additionally, these have a great amount of support for my arches and enough flex that there is no pinching or rubbing at all. Cushioning is superb and they actually fit like a glove. All I can say is..Wow! I have worn them around town and on some fairly decent trails and I come home with no stress on my feet under any conditions so far. I can't wait to try them on some more challenging hills to see if they really are as good as I think they're going to be. All in all, these are cool, comfortable, durable, and truly a pleasure to wear. I know I am now hooked on La Sportivas from here on out!
