Read More I initially bought a pair of these peds in each color just to test them out. That was about a year ago and I have since bought 6 more pairs. I wear them a LOT and have had no problems - the fit guide on the current styles is correct for me, no tightness, no slipping. The wool is great at keeping feet toasty and transferring any wetness or sweat. I wear them with clogs, flats, casual sneakers. I'll keep wearing them as long as they make them...! Wish they would add a couple more colors just for fun! -

Read More I was so excited to see these on sale at REI. I have tried several different styles of no-show socks and they either come up too high on my heel and still show or they slip down when I'm walking. THESE SOCKS ARE PERFECT. They are low enough that the don't show in any of my shoes--I wear them mostly with low rise ankle boots and casual slip on tennis shoes. I haven't had any problems with them sliding down like other reviewers mentioned...I guess it's just a difference in feet/shoe styles. For what it's worth, I wear a size 7 shoe and have a somewhat narrow foot. I bought the medium socks. I might could even wear a small because they are actually a little loose on the bottom part of the heel, but the elastic around the back of the heel still keeps them in place perfectly. The material is great too...soft and keeps feet dry and warm. I would highly recommend trying these if you are looking for a no-show sock that is ACTUALLY no-show and stays in place! -

Read More I bought 3 pairs of these for a trip to Europe last month, and the two neutral colored pairs came with the gel strip in the back, but the black pair did not. (Which I did not know when I bought them - I thought they were all the same.) The neutral colored pairs were mostly OK to wear with flats while walking around, but the black pair kept sliding down my heels and at one point was digging into my heel so badly while I was driving that it felt as though my skin was burning. Now that I'm back in the U.S. and starting a new job, I've been trying to wear the neutral colored ones with my flats and heels to work. With the flats, at least one of them eventually slides down my heel, but with 1.5" heels? Forget it. They constantly slide down my heels even with the gel gripper things. I'm sure the black pair I have would be even worse. It's just so disappointing because 1) overall, I think Smartwool makes great products, and 2) for the price I paid for them, I would expect to really love them and have them deliver by staying on my feet. On the plus side, the feel of the fabric is really nice, and they do keep my feet dry and provide a nice barrier between my foot and my shoe...when they stay up! -
