Read More I purchased this product online and if I had seen it in the store in person, I probably would not have purchased it. Conceptually, I bought this to store my sleeping gear in my pack and to use (obviously) as a pillow at night. The design is great, The micro-fleece lining is great. The Cordura outer shell was a poor design choice. The fabric is "crinkly" and when being used as designed, it is very much like trying to sleep with your ear on a potato chip bag - not conducive to a restful night's sleep. It fails the "user experience" test in that way. I own other Therma-rest products which I've found to be wonderful and fit for use. This, however, is not on my list of items to recommend to others.

Read More I bought this last summer to use for 2 - 3 day backpacking trips in The Sierras. I figured that I could use it for either my sleeping bag (used to have a Backcountry Bed), Therm-a-rest, or additional clothing or layers. I still have it, but I'm going to return it because it's not that helpful. I really bought it more for the pillow aspect than the stuff sack. I think something like the REI flash pillow will make me happier. I don't know, though. Positive: The ripstop fabric on the exterior is very durable and has a neat, easy-to-spot color. The fleece on the inside is not thick at all. it's a gray color and more like the interior of the sunglasses pockets you would find on a daypack. I feel like anything you put inside will be protected from random punctures that might happen on the trail or at camp. My sleeping bag fit well in here. So did my therm-a-rest when rolled up. Negatives: Another reviewer mentioned how there are two layers to this bag. It has the nylon and fleece which are not adhered to each other. I move my head around at might and there's a crinkly sound that drives me crazy and keeps me up. Personal problem, but still annoying. I really find this bag to be too big for 3-season trips here in California. I have an ultra-light down and a nano puff that hardly put a dent in filling the volume of this stuff sack. It would be nice if there was a size down from this sack. I really had to stuff it with all sorts of random clothes to get a solid pillow that supported my dome. Instead of doing one thing really well, it does two things with mediocrity. I think you can live without this product, but if you think it's a neat idea, then go for it. -

Read More I have been using one of these for a couple of years now. It lives in my down jacket pocket. When packing my jacket I use it like a regular stuff sack. Then I wear the jacket and put the sack back in my pocket. When It is time to get into my sleeping bag, I turn the sack inside out and stuff in my down jacket. Now I have a mouldable down pillow, Awesome! From experience this best way to use it. I don't recommend trying to fill it with the exactly right amount of clothes on the trail, find one jacket that works stick to that. Also, I keep the pockets of my jacket empty of hard stuff, keys and phones don't make good pillows : ) -

Read More This is a great product. Double use items are a necessity when trying to save weight. One issue: for warm weather camping, filling the bag can be an issue (as I don't take that many extra clothes with me). Another minor nit to pick: the bag is double walled... i.e. two separate fabrics, the silnylon outside and fleece inside. This adds some extra weight. It'd be nice if they can figure out a way to adhere thin fleece to the inside of the silnylon to save some weight. Overall VERY pleased.
Read More I absolutely love stuff sacks, and this one is soft and incredibly warm. I have used this while out camping and even when traveling on airliners. On hot days when the felt inner layer is too warm I tend to use the silky outside layer. When using this sack as a pillow a large down jacket makes for the best comfort. The best part is when your done sleeping you have a stuff sack to pack everything into. I actually lost this awhile back and before my last camping trip I went back and bought another.
