  • Great sack
Used as a food bag, worked out really well. Made everything easy for hanging up on a tree
  • Lil bag, tough, waterproof, great price
Awesome Value for outdoor recreation like bird watching, fishing, hiking. It even has Ripstop type material, light and very strong, I am going to get 6 or 7 more of these soon.

Excellent bag. I've used these for everything from bear bags, to kayaking and tubing. I placed my clothes, pack towel, and cell phone in, and tied it to my tube and proceeded to float down the Potomac River with the bag partially submerged the entire time. Not a single drop entered the bag. No complaints. Depending on your activities, I would not recommend the ultra light version of this bag. The material seems much more delicate. There have been no mishaps yet with that one, but I am much more careful with it.
  • Worked as promised, and easy to use.

I took this bag to BWCA, MN for a week canoeing. We had 3 nights of rain so the bag was tested and performed perfectly. Gear needing to stay dry went into this bag than all went into a larger Duluth bag. Rain water sat inside the Duluth bag a times but this dry sack kept all gear within very dry. Excellent.

I purchased a few assorted sizes of Sea To Summit a while back and never really got to field test them in wet conditions until today. I went on an 8 mile kayaking trip with a bunch of friends in New Jersey. A few days ago there was a crazy storm and the river we were kayaking was now 5' higher than it usually is. Being one of the least experienced kayakers there I capsized not once, but five times total. It very clearly states in the instructions to not submerge the dry bag. I had my Sea To Summit dry bag attached to the back of the kayak and also had my iPhone in a sandwich bag inside the dry bag. There was a good five minute total through out the day that this bag was fully submerged and water never found its way inside. When we stopped for lunch I checked my phone and nothing was wet. These dry bags are no joke. After kayaking with these bags I have every confidence that when I take them backpacking and it rains what ever I put inside will stay dry.

These have been great bags for the last 4 or 5 years. I've only had to replace one due to loss, not because of product failure. They are made of Silnylon, and are not robust, but light, and effective for the intended purpose. I use them to protect my down, and extra layers from getting soaked through, vs using a stuff sack for a little extra protection. If you are not familiar with taking care of lightweight backpacking gear, realize water can penetrate silnylon as it wears down especially if it's abused. If you are not willing to take care of it or give it a little babying like you would any UL gear it, will not last. For rafting and kayaking I use more robust or "real" dry bags. For backpacking where I just need a protection from a downpour, condensation in my pack, or to be able to set my gear down under my tarp while I set up the tarp/bivy, I'll use these.

I actuallypurchased this bag to use as a compression bag for my over sized memory foam travel pillow, the horseshoe type. It is a problem carrying all these extra things on a plane especially when they are bigger than your purse. Using the bag I can roll up the pillow and reduce the size then clip it to my suitcase. Great bag and works for what I needed it for and it is so lightweight. I can imagine using this style and size for many other applications as well.
