Works for great for scuba

I bought this shirt for use in scuba classes indoors and outdoors on with warm water. It provides a nice amount of extra warmth for long training dives (>1 hour) in warm water (say 77-83 degrees F) where a full wetsuit might be overkill, but no protection will leave you chilly. You definietly can feel the added warmth when the shirt is tucked into your trunks (to trap the water in the neoprene to the greatest extent possible). Also adds very little additional buoyancy for the warmth it provides.

not bad if you know what you're getting

This isn't a bad top as long as you know what you're getting. I've used nylon/lycra rash guards for kayaking in the past and wanted something with a little additional warmth. The open-cell neoprene added the warmth i was looking for but the open cells make it extreamly "sticky" on the outside of the chest and back. There is no neoprene on the inside of the shirt so it's not bad to take on or off. Adding a layer to this is challenging. I struggled a lot getting a kayak spray skirt on over the open cells. Once on though the top was very comfortable. I didn't spend much time dry in it to find out how well it wicks water from your body as I bought it to get wet. Unlike rolling a kayak in a lycra top the spandex neck on this scoops water and allows it to run between the neoprene and your body by-passing a spray skirt and sending water directly into your boat. Like all long sleeve rash guards the sleeves work loose at the wrists but all in all it did exactly what i wanted. It kept my core warm when I knew i would be getting wet.

Ok for chilly days 55 degrees +

Sleeves are not neoprene. The shirt doesn't keep the water out well.
