Read More This was the first stove I purchased for myself when I got into backpacking years ago, and I still could not be happier with it. Paired with either the 100g, 220g canisters it creates a very stable platform for pots, skillets, and even my beloved snow peak 450 titanium single wall mug. (If your just heating water in a mug, no need to extend the legs all the way). Something that many other canister stoves of this size don't have is a stable enough platform for something small like a mug. When i'm on the trail and traveling fast and light my morning breakfast is usually something like pop tarts or granola bars. With this little stove though I can pull out my mug and heat up some water for tea or coffee and have it ready before I even get my sleeping bag put away. It's fast, light, burns very hot, and its very durable. As much as I adore MSR products, I would recommend this product over the Pocket Rocket or Micro Rocket. -

Read More I bought one of these several year ago, used several times, and then forgot I had it. Then I decided not to take it on a plane trip because of TSA rules. Finally, I just used again for a multiday trip in the Appalachians. It worked perfectly despite not being used (unlike the highly regarded MSR stoves I've owned in the past). It's simple, functional and takes almost no space. It works less well near freezing, but that was clear in the instructions. -

Read More Purchased this to replace a MSR Pocket Rocket as I was looking to squeeze out a few more ounces from my cook kit weight. This stove packs down very small and boils water fast! While not as fast as a Jetboil, Reactor, etc it is fast enough and combined with my cook kit far lighter than those previously mentioned. It also has been very fuel efficient from my experience with it so far. I keep it inside a MYOG tyvek pouch inside the GSI Minimalist, the pouch it comes with while nice is a bit heavy to use just as protection from scratching my cook pot. I've used it with both small and larger diameter pots with no issues, only the normal top heavy tendency that most canister stoves exhibit. This stove does sit a bit lower to the canister which helps though.
