This is a good price, and I would recommend this for one bike -- it was better than not having one. However, we have two mountain bikes and it isn't wide enough to easily fit the bikes. As the other reviewer mentioned, the handlebars hit each other, and it is challenging to get the bikes on and off. When only one bike is in the stand, all the weight is on one side, and while it does balance, if a bike is bumped, the whole thing can tip pretty easily.
Very unstable
We bought this to try to store bikes on the porch. It looked like it would be a good way to store them in a small area without having to lean them on anything. This rack was very wobbly and hard to use. If we had had anything else on the porch we wouldn't have been able to use the rack at all because we needed a ton of clearance to get both bikes in and out of the rack.
doesn't work with disc brakes
I ordered this item, and tried it out. However, the stand seemed not only flimsy, but also didn't work well with the mountain bike we had (with older traditional brake systems). Then we tried a road bike and a mountain bike with disc brakes on both, and it doesn't work with these bikes at all.
A good product if you only have 1 bike
Skip this purchase. The space between the 2 bike holders is not wide enough. I was unable to fit 2 bikes on the stand without the cranks hitting the opposing frame or the bars getting tangled up. The picture on the outside of the box does not match the contents inside.
