Read More I'm new to kayaking, and was having a hard time cramming my size 11 thick soled sandals into the bow of my inflatable kayak. The Ahnu shoes are just what I needed. I wanted a shoe that did not have any toggles on the heel to adjust the fit. The elastic cuff around the opening of these hold them on just fine. The soles are thin, and sometimes I can feel pebbles through them when walking, but that's an OK trade off--I didn't buy them to hike or run in. I rinse them out, pull out the insoles and let them dry between uses. No odor problems. -

Don't know anything about using these for running or as casual wear but as a water shoe they work really well. As for fit: one doesn't want the things to slip on & off too easily - they would fall off in mud or strong current. Stretch 'em on and then they feel wonderful. Grip well on even mossy rocks. Don't know what all the fuss was about with some other reviewers. These things are lighter then Teva sandles and work well as a water shoe. -

Read More The shoes are light, quick-drying, and have insoles which are easily removable. One detriment is that it traps sand in the insoles, but this can be really easily washed out. The shoes don't trap odors, so they're not all nasty after drying, even if they aren't washed out.

Read More My husband and I have traveled to some beautiful places and walked on so many uneven surfaces. Whether it be under the water or just trying to get to the water as in Hawaii while walking on the lava beds to get to a beautiful waterfall and pond. These water shoes have been more than fantastic in keeping the bottom of my husband's feet injury free. Smart purchase for sure.
