Read More A great way to add significant traction for minimal cost/weight. Use about 10 screws around perimeter of each boot. On moderatly steep & icy trails the improvement is quite significant. These are not as good as "Micro-Spikes" but can be used as part of a traction "system"--one can add Micro-Spikes or crampons over their "Stabilicer boots" as conditions change. Steve
Read More Beware: If you have STABILicers Sports, these won't work. The Sports require a different cleat. How's that, you ask? From the manufacturer's website: "STABILicers SPORT cleats are designed to fit into a threaded receptacle and are made from case-hardened steel to reduce wear. They have a specially designed shape that bites into ice." These replacement cleats are i) self-tapping and ii) way too long. Back to REI these shall go...
