Read More I bought these because... well, it's kind of a long story. I'd arrived at a combination of innersole and arch support that seemed to give me the best support and cushioning possible, but it provided no protection for the sides of my heels. After getting blisters there on two occasions, I decided I needed some sort of heel cup too. These do seem to protect my heels -- at least I haven't gotten any more blisters. The description says, "Slip-resistant design ensures that the heel cups stay in place." Unfortunately that's not true. After a few hours of hiking, chances are that both heel cups will have rotated about 90 degrees. Fortunately they're soft enough that they don't hurt even when they're out of place. I've tried gluing them to my insoles but I haven't found any kind of glue that sticks to that gel. I may try stitching them to the insoles next. I'd recommend them only to a friend who was willing to experiment. -

Read More These feel good and offer great support, but they won't stay in place. I am using them in my old work boots (with a long gone heel), and while they make the boot significantly more comfortable they shift and turn after a long day and completely get displaced when I take my foot out of my boot. I'm not sure why this is the case, if it's poor design or the lack of any adhesive or sticky material on the bottoms... but that's the case. If you don't mind "re-installing" these every time you wear your shoe then go for it because they feel good, but that's the reason I didn't give it more stars.
