Read More My feet are narrow with a very high arch. I have been using a single pair of these insoles for the past 4 months to: Walk to/from work 20 miles/week (all pavement, steep hills), hike on the weekends, and run on pavement. I pop them between my different shoes. There was no break-in period, no pain anywhere. After 4 months, they're still very supportive, but showing cosmetic wear (the orange, top layer is rubbing off). Highly recommend, esp. if you have high arches. -

Read More I give these 2 stars because the insoles are very well made, they just didn't work for my foot. The arch support is "very aggressive" to quote the REI employee that was assisting me and after about 2 miles into a test hike my feet were so sore that I had to switch them out for the original insoles that came in my boots. I am going to try the SOLE Thin Sport Custom Footbeds next and hope that those work better. -
Nov 17, 2014Works for my feetNice and thin, good support, comparable to smartfeet inserts (I have a pair of those too). Very happy with them.

Read More An incredibly helpful, patient REI employee recommended these to me, and worked with me to find the best size in order for the arch support to fall in the right place for my foot. Turns out I had to go up 2 sizes, (otherwise it was too far back toward my heel), and cut the excess of the top in order to fit. I had high hopes for them for my problem feet (very wide forefront & very skinny heel). I've tried them in 3 different pairs of shoes/boots (all with similarly shaped factory insoles, so these fit fine in all pairs). However walking with them cause extreme pain--I mean bad--in several places up through my feet, up my shins and into my knees. Tried around the house for a couple hours and then on a couple extremely short walks (a couple blocks) on dirt roads and paved paths. Ouch ouch ouch, way beyond simple discomfort. I seems like the arch is not in the right place on any pair (too far back, like the smaller size at the store was), when the insole is in the shoe or boot, though it's fine if I just step into/stand on them on the floor (and the REI person also said he could see it was, and I followed his directions for trimming to size according to the original insole in the shoe so they should be a perfect fit). Must be something to do with how my feet sit in my shoes with the insoles in, though odd it's happening with all 3 pairs. So I suspect that's what's causing the pain but I don't know. I didn't have any problem with the berry superfeet causing pain; they just didn't really help. So still looking... -

Read More I went on a long hike the weekend before without insoles and knew I had to get some insoles before my next hike to The Enchantments. These insoles allowed me to hike in with a 40 lb pack and kept my feet from wearing out, especially in the arch area where my feet need a little more help. - Happy Hiker -

Read More After hiking some really rocky trail (the AT in PA) with a overweight pack and cheap boots, my feet were really bad. I now have Plantar Fasciitis, and other foot issues. I tried Drug Store insoles, Superfeet, and even orthotics from podiatrist. I probably spent close to $500 in insoles over the last few years. Some provided little support and I would suffer pain, or they were just too big, and I would need to go up a shoe size and width size for my feet to fit. The only insoles that work and got my feet back to feeling normal, and me walking and hiking again are SOLE. I never heated them, I just slip them in and they mold to my feet over time. Worth every penny.
