Feb 21, 2010I'd Buy AgainThe seat was easy to install and rode well. At first it felt like it was pointing up, but as I rode I got used to it. Very comfortable, no soreness or discomfort as I had from my old seat.

Read More The seat feels nice in your hands. It's squishy and feels like a nice gel seat. However, I ride 7 km to work and after about 2 km I'm very sore and numb. I just can't find a comfortable position on this seat. My old seat, the OEM without gel, was much more comfortable. It's just horrible, there's no other way to describe it. Avoid this seat at all costs. -

Read More replaced the stock thin saddle with the Serfas E-Gel saddle and have been very happy with it. i cycle for fitness and recreation about 40 - 50 miles a week and this saddle has been very comfortable for my 200 lb frame. i did have to go through an initial adjustment period to get the saddle to the best riding position for me, but once i did it has been well worth the money. -

Read More Did lots of research looking for a new saddle for my adolescent son. Wasn't sure about Serfas since he'd had one of their lycra covered saddles separate on him, but this one has proved it's value over a summer full of short trips (2-10 miles). Good support, no chafing or numbness, looks new after three months of heavy use.
Read More So far, just about perfect. I previously used the Serfas E-Gel Cruiser Saddle, which I liked very much (basically same padding and cover as the Serfas E-Gel Saddle). I did like the springs built into the other saddle, but after using it for about a year I decided it was just too wide (I'm a very large person but it was still too wide). The Serfas E-Gel Saddle is a little narrower and a little firmer. After a few weeks this seems just right. For both, the quality and durability seems to be very good.
