Jun 12, 2013It will last for 2 yearsThe cover is completely shredding after 2 years of bike commuting, and I can't find a replacement cover. Maybe I had unrealistic expectations, but I expected something more durable.

And its lasted for 10 years with pretty conistent year round use. After a spin around the neighborhood, I remounted the old seat and this one will be going back. -

Read More First thing first, THIS SEAT IS AN ESSENTIAL upgrade for any rider. I wish I had this when I first started to bike. I would get so sore/hurt with the factory seat of my KHS Alite 150. I thought bike-shorts would help, but it only delayed the soreness/numbness/pain for 20-30mins. I bought this seat solely on the reviews and ratings from all of the other customers, and every review has been dead on! This seat makes riding enjoyable, comfortable, painless, and prolongs your ride! This has been the best $ I've spent for biking and wish I had this from day #1. I've done 3 consecutive days of riding this past weekend (all rides over 30kms) and I'm stll ok / up to do some more. No more pain, no more numbness, and no more soreness! It's a little wider and heavier than most stock/factory seats, but it's WELL WORTH it! Besides, it's only a few grams more than other seats so I wouldn't even have known the difference. Would definitely recommend this seat to ANYBODY/EVERYBODY -- and you can't go wrong for the price. Thanks SERFAS for making a great product + affordable -- and thanks too REI for the great reviews/service! -

I wanted something that would compensate for the lack of hindquarters and this saddle pulls it off well. I was concerned about getting one of those gel covers for the original saddle, fearing that it would slide around and be a bit awkward. Grab this saddle! It's worth the money. -
Oct 30, 2011great for commute / trail ridinghad a Serfas Dorado before, and don't regret the switch at all. Lycra Dual Density is far more comfortable and very easy to install.

Read More This is my second soft Serfas seat; the first ones cover tore after several years of hard use. The cover of new one looks tougher. My son and I use these seats for weekend rides of ~20 miles, and MTB race of about 5 miles. Changing to this seat has made cycling much more enjoyable for my son.
