Read More I have been looking for sandals to use when fishing or just being around water that were secure, cool, and comfortable. I had tried keens, but they were too hot. I tried tevas, but the straps stretched way too much when wet. ( By the way, rei has an awesome return policy). Finally I tried these. At first I wasn't sold on the weight or strap design (continuous strap), but now I am glad I have them. When adjusted right, the straps make me forget I am wearing shoes because of how well they fit my feet. The straps did start to stick, but finally i found a trick with fabric softener in the holes and now they're better than new. Overall, these have become my favorite shoe ( not just sandal, shoe)! -

Read More This is a true hiking sandal. Heavy, thick tread, quality workmanship. It takes a bit to get the fit right and may need to be adjusted from time to time, but it's great that you can keep adjusting them as your feet swell or shrink during the day. I wasn't used to the weight at first. It took about 3 days to get fully acclimated to the weight, but now I don't even notice. I wore these for a week in Nicaragua where there is wire, nails and trash everywhere. I felt that my feet were very safe in these (for sandals) and would highly recommend them over thinner/lighter/spongier sandals for tough wear environments. The heel "cup" is also a great feature for those of us that have foot pronation. -

Read More I bought a pair of these in late Spring this year. The minimal, yet well-fitting straps and buckle appealed to me, but I was used to wearing sandals that were much flatter, so I wasn't sure if I could get used to the feel of these. I wore them only indoors around the house for the weekend in case I decided to return them, but they grew on me. I took the plunge and went out walking in them and I have hardly worn anything else since. These are by far the best and most comfortable sandals that I have ever worn, and perfect for me since I love water and don't have to worry about these getting wet. I have walked and hiked for miles in these and have not had any issues. All footwear that is worn without socks can take some getting used to. I did have a small blister after the first long walk, but nothing since. I have been averaging over five miles a day in these sandals, and have had days where I walked over ten miles. I think I probably may never own any other kind of sandal again. I have found perfection! -

Read More This is my second pair and I love the sandals. Only problem this time is I ordered on line and the size isn't right. I will have to go in to the store in Eugene and get the correct size. I like the sandals because I feel so secure in them - they fit like a glove and your feet don't move a bit when walking, hiking, playing in the water or working in the back yard garden.
Read More Just got these and wore for first time today when it finally got above 50 here in Wisconsin. I have had them on for 10 hours including a 6 mile hike with no socks. Incredible how comfortable these are. No blisters or rubbing. Feels like I am walking barefoot on a foam mat. My old Teva Hurricanes used to rip my feet up the first couple of times out each year. Arch support feels great. Wish I had bought these years ago.
