Try to get an idea of the length you need before you buy them. Mine are a bit long for my Keen hiking boots, which isn't a huge problem, but some might find it more annoying. -

My hiking shoes actually fit better now and stay snug so my ankles don't have rings around them from the shoe rubbing. Also the same size laces end up being longer than the round ones since when they are pulled the shoe acutally stays tightened instead of losening up. I wish all hiking shoes came with these types of laces! (I guess there was a reason the vacuum ate/broke my original laces a few days after I got my hiking shoes...lol.) -

Read More These are great laces for hiking boots. The oval shape stays in place better than the round laces and also fits more shoe styles than the flat laces. Durability is much better than the stock laces that come with many boots. I wish these came in longer lengths, though. The longest length (54") is too short for some of my boots.

Read More I love these oval shoe laces, because they actually stay tied. It's especially handy for cross country ski boots, where having to tie and retie the round ones is a snow encrusted event. And, it is easier to tie these tight in the first place. I love them!
