Read More I was looking for a saddle that was comfortable yet still has performance qualities. I'm getting older so wanted a bit more cush. This saddle has more gel and comfort than most others in it's class, and it is still narrow enough to get behind when needed. WTB saddles also have great pockets that you can settle into well. The down side is that the nose is narrow and short, so not as good for steep climbing. -
Apr 11, 2013A comfy saddleI just started cycling, and replaced my bike's stock saddle with this one. Now my butt doesn't hurt anymore.

Read More I've now used this seat for more than 3000 miles, and I can say I am still very happy with it. I tried 6 different ones, and this is the only one I could live with. At the end of a century ride, I was not in pain - a major accomplishment for me! As others have said, it is not the lightest seat out there, but if you're riding in pain what difference does it make if you have a lighter one? This seat is only showing very minor wear, mostly just the lettering, otherwise it is holding up very well. -

Read More I bought a mountain bike but also bought tires and extra handle bars to use on the road. This seat is much better than the stock seat on my Giant XTC. This seat is fine for mountain biking and is good for short rides on the road 10 miles or less. But if you are going longer distances on the road it is not as comfortable. I don't have much padding when I sit down so I need a comfortable seat to ride long distances. After riding for 10 or 11 miles the comfort of this seat starts to go down. My seat bones start to hurt and I get a little discomfort where my thigh hits the seat. This seat also makes you sweat a lot even during the winter here. I am going to try and look for a seat that has an air channel after I take this seat back to REI. -

Read More After reading the reviews on this seat, I decided to try one out for my road bike. The seat is a bit on the heavy side, but this does not bother me. The gel padding is nice and comfortable. However, the seat is not made for an aggressive road bike sitting position. It is comfortable for short rides (5 miles) after about the 6th mile, I can feel my sit bones starting to hurt. I completed an uncomfortable 50 mile ride with this seat, but this is my breaking point. On the plus side, when I ride on my top bar and more upright, the seat feels perfect, but when I go down to my hoods, the seat loses its comfort. I believe, this seat would make a great mountain bike seat, but I would not recommend it for a road bike. I upgraded to the WTB Laser V Pro and this saddle works much better for road riding. -

Read More I originally purchased the WTB Pro Gel saddle and had high hopes after reading reviews. Unfortunately, I was really disappointed with the comfort (i.e. The WTB "love channel" does not cut it) and durability (my brother-in-law had his fall apart on him). I purchased the Respiro Soft A-5130 and could not be happier. The cut out design really relieves pressure from your nether region and the "Royal Gel" is not too soft or hard. The vent design keeps your boys cool. Make the switch...I did!
Read More I bought this saddle to replace a stock saddle on my hard tail. So far It has proven to be really comfortable and worth the expense. It's not lightweight, or a racing like saddle, but if you are looking for extra comfort especially on a hard tail this will help a lot!!
