Read More I have been using the 1300 as my medical/trauma box for over two years of day in day out guiding. In most cases it stays inside my kayak for days at a time. But when I get into it, I know my medical supplies are 100% and ready to go in an emergency. It fits easily inside my kayak, but is easily to get out without slipping into the the nooks and crannies....so when I need it, I can get it out quickly. I have been very happy with it. -

It has been submerged, no leaks, but mostly rained upon... Rain forrest jungle in the south Pacific to summer thunderstorms in the back of the work truck. A great product. I now have two.

Read More This is an excellent river box, Pelican is extensively used for personal gear, first aid kits, and cameras. The rubber gasket is replaceable, and the box is ridiculously durable. But BLACK???, easily the worst color for most rivers, unless you like midwinter trips. What's with REI's fetish with black?
