Sizing notes

For rock climbing shoes: Choose soft shoes two to three sizes smaller than your street shoe size. We recommend you fit your trad shoes one to two sizes under your street shoe size. Remember to factor in stretch. Unlined slip-lasted shoes tend to stretch about one full size. Lined shoes stretch about a half size. Remember: a well-fit comfortable shoe will work better than an ill-fitting tighter shoe. For boots: Add one half size to your street shoe size. You should be able to slip one finger behind your heel when you are standing up with the boot unlaced and your toes touching the front. If the boot is too short, your toes will get smashed walking downhill. Too long and your heel will slide up and down and give you blisters.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great shoes! These are my second pair of climbing shoes, and they are perfect! I am just climbing V2s, so I'm definitely not a competitive climber, but I am serious about continuing to improve and climb more difficult routes. These shoes are very comfortable, yet snug enough so that my foot does not move around in the shoe. I usually wear a size 7.5 in regular shoes and the 37.5 in these are perfect (I tried 38, but it was too loose). I did not want a super tight fit because I wanted to still be comfortable wearing my shoes between climbs. When I get more serious about climbing, I'll probably want a half size smaller.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for a beginner These were my first pair of climbing shoes and they are great! I bought these because I have large feet (size 10) and a longer second toe which gets smushed in other pairs...and the point in this one is a little more towards the middle. They are also very comfortable, high quality and will mold to your feet like a glove. The REI specialist that helped me said that this is the kind of high quality shoe that would be worth resoling when it wears down. The only thing I am a little worried about is the shoe maybe stretching a little too much...but so far they are fine and I've used them several times a week for a few months!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Shoes that fit my feet! I decided to take up climbing a few months ago, and these were the only non-aggressive shoes that fit my feet. My feet are very small, yet fairly wide. Despite the fact that my feet are wide, I was worried that these shoes would stretch too much for my wide feet, but 3 months in, so far so good. After a few days of climbing indoors, these shoes stretched to mold to my feet perfectly--I'd guess probably as comfortable of a climbing shoe as you can get. As others have mentioned, do order down a few sizes. I normally wear a 5-5.5 womens, and I have a size 33 in these shoes. If I had to do it again, I would probably get a 32.5.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Most Delicious Climbing Shoe So comfy that I can wear them all day on multi-pitch climbs. I love them so much that I bought a new pair when I sent my first one of for a resole. Lacing system makes it easy to adjust the fit for your unique lil feet. This is a great shoe for slab, multi-pitch, cracks, and chill sport climbing. The advantages of this shoe are comfort, durability, adjustability. The only downside (and it would be impossible to do in a shoe this comfy) is aggressive-ness. Personally, I wear a more aggressive shoe for bouldering or routes at the edge of my ability range. I would recommend this shoe for anyone except boulderers > v4.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from High Quality - Odd Fit I respect that these are great shoes, they just didn't work for my feet. The pointy part of the toe wasn't really where my big toe was, and they were very uncomfortable. The metal rings at the top of the lacing rubbed against my toes and was painful. I also think I bought these a little too small for me (I hear they stretch a LOT), but I ultimately ended up returning them for another pair of Sportivas that I love. Final word? Try them on first so you know they'll work for you. Buy them from REI so you have a year to return them. If they work for your feet, I'm sure they're an amazing shoe.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great For Slab and Crack Climbing I love these shoes. They are marshmallows on my feet! Super comfy and made well. Material is soft and the rubber makes its way all around the sides of the shoe and not just the toe box making it great for wedging your feet into crevices and not having to worry about the grip. Also, the toe box makes it great for slab climb since you have more surface area to utilize. I love these shoes for most rock climbing and long climbs but prefer my Muiras for bouldering and overhangs. For reference I am street shoe 8 and I wear a 37.5 in both these and the Muiras. You won't regret these shoes! Just make sure you get the proper sizing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love these shoes!!! I'm on my third pair of these and love them so much. They're so comfortable and they fit really well. I wear a size 8 in street shoes and wear a 37 (women's 6 in these). I mostly use them for outdoor sport climbing and toproping, as well as in the gym. They're great cause I can leave them on for several climbs at a time. They're also comfortable to have on for longer multipitch climbs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from love it! This is my first pair of climbing shoes and I love them! They are comfortable enough that I don't need to unlace them in between climbs (although I wouldn't wear them on a hike), but feel good on the wall. I went 1.5 sizes smaller than my normal shoe size and they fit perfectly. At first I thought I had too much room in the toes but they end up forming to your feet as you walk (if that makes sense). They are a little bit on the expensive side but totally worth it in my opinion!
