Read More I have used these in the most extreme conditions (Death Valley National Park) with my unit. These work like a charm and help to neutralize odor, not completely but a lot. The only thing that could lead to problems is if you don't/can't dispose of these bags quickly because in groups these smell. -

Read More We used these on our kayak trip in Utah and they worked perfect. We had a bucket but in the end, I would just open the bag large and not use a bucket at all. So it's lightweight. I recommend letting air out before sealing it or it will then be bloated and more prone to puncturing. For us, it was perfectly reliable. We used about 25 of these and no quality issues. -

Read More I agree with Sportmom's review. My wag bags leaked too on a recent trip. And what a terrible surprise. =( I've tried pretty much all the portable "bathrooms" on the market and so far I've found that the bright blue bags by RESTOP work the best. I buy them on online because REI doesn't stock them. =( Although I wish they would, so I could just buy them from my local store. -
Oct 14, 2010Perfect!Works perfectly and very easy to use. Absolutely no odors or leakage.

Read More We discovered this product last year and use it in our camper. We are on our third box of Wag Bags. This trip we had a bag that leaked--not a little leak--a definite flaw in the seal of the plastic bag. I would have given this product 5 stars, but I worry about the quality control of the item now. -

Read More I have used this product for a couple years now. It does work but it requires you to carry a bucket or commode. I like to hike, mountain bike, climb, and just be outdoors so I don't like to carry what I don't have to. I recently found the Biffy Bag which is a disposable toilet like the wag bag but it comes with everything you need in a small package and is much easier to use. It is very comfortable and discrete and I prefer it to the Wag Bag. -

Read More Why aren't these a mandatory requirement for all overnight hikers and backpackers? This is the solution for the growing problem of water pollution from human waste in the back country. It's also the most sand and sanitary method for dealing with the need to defecate areas where it is not possible to dig a hole. Consider these bags an "essential" if you're a backpacker or hiker: nature and your fellow outdoorspeople will be much better for your selfless action.
Read More These bags work best with the Cleanwaste/PETT toilet. You could use them as a standalone bag as well, but they are designed to work with the toilet. To give a bad review when you are not using the proper equipment is ridiculous. I have gone through well over 50 bags over the past few years and NONE have leaked. The zip closure and bag is heavy duty, just be careful that it is completely closed. There is 'poo powder' in the bag that helps neutralize solid waste but it requires liquid to work effectively. So make sure you urinate in the bag as this will help start the enzymatic process. If you keep the bags for a few days in blazing heat (Death Valley) then they do start to get a bit 'ripe'. Best to keep them in the shade and dispose of as soon as you can. Overall, the best portable toilet system on the market. Customer service is also excellent as I lost a part of the toilet and they replaced it without any hassles.
