Read More After months of research and comparing products on platforms such as youtube, I dediced to go with the MSR PocketRocket. It is seriously one of the best purchases I have made out of all of my hiking/camping gear. It is lightweight, but packs a punch and I can't wait to put it to more use in the future - A+ MSR.

Read More Have taken this with me on multiple trips from overnights to week long backpacking trips. Flame is easy to adjust, does need close attention when using pans due to the flame being central but works great with small pots. Other than the stove the fuel is fairly lightweight, but can be slightly difficult to determine how much you have remaining and how long it will last you on your trip, often depending on the temps your dealing with. Other than that fantastic stove that fits in you palm!

Read More When I don't want to lug my Whisperlite and liquid fuel bottle on short overnights and weekend trips, the PocketRocket fits the bill. It's super light and compact -- stores inside my GSI Soloist pot kit along with condiments and fire steel -- and boils 2 cups of water in just over 2.5 minutes (at sea level). It's a little harder to judge when the IsoPro is getting low, but it's easy enough to carry a spare. -

I primarily bought this to heat water so I haven't attempted cooking anything but I look forward to testing it out more. It is very compact and light weight and comes with it's own carrying case which I like. -

Read More Rented this stove from my local sporting goods store for a weekend backpacking trip being I was in the market for a new stove. It worked flawless at 9000ft and melted snow great. It's a great little stove. It isn't as efficient I'm sure as some of the jetboil induction type cook system but for the weight and the size you can't beat it. Takes up no room in a pack. I would recommend getting a fuel canister support to use with it for any pot bigger then 1liter. I purchased one after that trip and have used mine 2 more times since and love it. It's just a simple, reliable, light stove. -

A bit of a small base (dependent on fuel canister) means you have to be carefully to level your surface before cooking. For a short 3-4 day trip or a quick car camping weekend it's a perfect stove.
