Questionable
First of all the product does not state what the chemicals are in the product. Only that it contains methyl ethyl ketone. I used it on my Gossamer Gear "The One" tent. Do not seam seal spinnaker; it does not stick and flakes off after use (mine did). The bottle states not intended for vinyl products, not spinnaker. Seems that REI hasn't tested the product on spinnaker and does not list what fabrics. I ended up purchasing another manufactueres sealer at REI and resealed. Check to see if your fabric works with this product by calling REI since it doesn't say. Again the bottle states it is for "jacket, tent, pack, gaiter seams" and that it is not intended for "use on vinyl products". Which mine was a tent and not a vinyl product.
DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!
This product is horrible. It took my husband hours to apply. The tip is not practical for application. The smell is unbearable - even with ventilation. Granted, we have not yet tested it in the rain, but it is not worth the fuss - unless you have a very small job. Better off saving your money to buy something else.
Flaky product - literally
I bought this to seal the seams on my Sil Nylon tarp. This product just hardened and flaked right off. Now I will have to reseal with a better product.
