Good for CrossFit.
Pretty good overall for CrossFit. Nice and flat. Great for weightlifting, box jumps, the rower,, sled pushes, etc. The only thing I don’t like is the upper doesn’t fit as snug as I would like, so I don’t feel they are stable enough for agility type stuff or shuttle runs, which is why I gave 4 stars instead of 5. I also have GoRuck Ballistic Trainers that are awesome as well, but they have an 8mm drop, so I don’t like them as much for weightlifting. But they fit well and work better for agility stuff. if you don’t do agility and shuttle runs and what not, go with the Xero 360. It’s a great shoe. I wear them for everyday shoes not just working out.
Great for rock scrambling with great grip
I've been wearing 360s for three years now and own two pairs. I picked them out because of the grip pattern and I use them for outdoor rock scrambling where excellent omni-directional grip is required. For grip they compare well to the special "approach shoes" that others wear but the soles aren't of the special "sticky" material that typical approach shoes use. The grip when wet is not great so I avoid any wet areas or dirt. Also the soles do not have a well defined square edge, its more of a smooth round transition to the uppers, so not great for "edging" on a thin rock ledge. But 360s are actually intended for cross-training for high grip in all directions and although I don't do crossfit or gym workouts I can imagine they perform excellently for that use. The shoes are pretty snug - I ended up ordering a half-size bigger for the second pair and they feel just about right. I think the only issue I had with them was the uppers have a mesh over them mainly for decoration - quite a few other Xero shoes have it too (eg. HFSII) and they are kind of fragile. So if you get into situations where the uppers are abraded - like jamming your foot into rocky holes or rough branches - then don't expect them to remain looking pristine for long. Fortunately the mesh has no structural role, it's all for decoration. My 360s were the first Xeros I've worn that truly felt like putting on a slipper - when new I wear them a lot for casual situations. My old pair is now my go-to for outdoor yard work. I have also used them for treadmill running until I got my HFS-II shoes as dedicated runners.
Great beginner Barefoot shoe
Went from the Piro Xero shoes to these. Like the overall design of these shoes and prefer these over the Piro Xero shoes If its your first pair of barefoot shoes I would take it easy. I do use socks with these.
first time buyer
My first pair of xero shoes and much more comfortable than I expected. They are all I wear now
