KEEN  Targhee IV Vent Hiking Shoes - Men's

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My husband's review - I've worn this early winter in the north east and could feel the cold air flowing through my feet. That being said, I think it has a good use case for slightly warmer and dry conditions. The label on the shoe says made from recycled plastic bottles which means environment friendly and long life - great selling points. The sole was tough and grip was pretty good. The only thing I would be pressed to complain about is that the shoe was too tight on my left shin. Quality assurance could be a little more tighter to avoid such issues. Also, longer shoe strings please. All in all, good, tough shoe which will last a while (initial impressions).

Due to the fact my size was not available, I chose my husband's size so he could try them. He absolutely lives them. He said they are so comfortable, and his feet do not get hot and sweaty like most of his shoes do. The only thing he doesn't like is that mud sticks to the bottoms of the shoes easily and it's hard to remove it.

I own numerous Merrell shoes and these Keen Targhee IVs are much more comfortable. The fit is true to size. I really love the amazing grip that is on the bottoms of the shoes. The grip makes me feel confident and stable while outside. The vents do help keep air circulating. These are great for spring, summer and part of fall. I am hoping to get the waterproof ones for outside use in winter. The colors are nice and the shoes look good on my feet. I expect these Keen hikers will last a long while. Very happy with them!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] l have worn the Keen Men's Targhee IV Vent for several days now and put about 60 miles on them, i love the way they look on me, their very comfortable very Breathable and a nice luged sole ,shaped very easy to my feet, i can easily see myself put 1200 miles on these shoe's as you can tell in really like these shoe's, but i can do with out the recycled plastic beach bottles on my feet.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These are super comfortable. I live on 15 acres and went for a nice little hike in the woods and they fit perfect and are super grippy on slippery surfaces. I got them a little muddy and they cleaned right up. Highly recommend

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These Keen hiking shoes are an excellent pair of all season outdoor shoes. They provide great traction in all outdoor conditions! Very comfortable, but do require a thick pair of socks if wearing outdoors in a cold winter setting. Overall, love the style but not crazy about this particular color of shoe. Definitely would recommend, as well as purchase in the future! Thank you influenster and keen for allowing me the opportunity to participate in and benefit from this fantastic campaign.

This is the best fitting regular & hiking shoe in decades (Not that I'm that old...). Seriously. My last shoe I purchased is still working fine but I purchased it longer and in wide so that it wouldn't be too tight and so that I could take out the insides and put in a real full length arch support and also an excellent cushion for real comfort. With this shoe I didn't have to: I got the right size and just switched the innards of my shoes that I walked in with and walked out of the store in the new ones... Uh, I mean I paid for them first. Really. So me, and my socks and shoes buds, have been living happily ever after - well, the last few days. Very happy with the feel of these shoes. I will buy Keen again. Thanks for REI for carrying them (I had not heard of Keen) and a -very- patient footwear department person who guided me through them.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I went for a short hike after getting these and at first my knees didn't know if they were going to be good or not but the end of the hike it was like walking on a soft ground they really helped my lower back. These are a bit heavy but what do you expect with a solid quality shoe! The quality of the stitching looks very good and will hold up for a long time along with the sole nice and stiff! Iam very happy with these shoes
