Perfect for packing and plane trips

I was looking for a pack that would fit under an airline seat but still hold my 13" macbook, a couple of other books, my purse if I had a carry-on bag, water/coffee bottles, and a few other item. Extra point for having some easily accessible pockets. This checks all those boxes and then some. Love the purple/teal/blue color, and the padded straps and back. Also nice to have a handle at the top of the bag to make it easy to pick up. Straps are simple and don't get tangled.

NOT for small torsos!

I was so excited for this pack but being a 5’2 small women it did not work for me. I hiked 20+ miles with this pack and have since returned it. The frame is too big and the top strap cut into my neck, while the bottom of the frame hit my lower back awkwardly and hurt throughout the hike. The pockets are great and allow for optimal organization but all in all do not buy if you are small framed.

Great day pack!

I love this pack for day hiking & biking! It worked great in Acadia National Park when I hiked mountains that required food, map, medication/first aid, pullover, and two 24 ml water bottles. I also carried drawing & weaving stuff that I used along the shores of Acadia and appreciated the waterproof construction. I like having water bottles in outside bottom pockets but know that you can't reach them with the pack on due to it being a smaller pack. The material of construction is all high quality and seems to be the same quality as larger packs. The number of compartments (2 large compartments w/multiple pockets) worked well in organizing my stuff. I look for the straps to hold up well over time. The zippers are of high quality as well. There are a few extra pockets & straps with hooks. Like all Osprey packs, it is built with good ergonomic structure to keep the weight from pulling downward. I had wished that the belt was padded a bit like the shoulder straps but that didn't end up making a difference in comfort. The waste strap was fine. I liked the additional chest strap. I struggle with low back pain and had no issues caused by the pack. It was fully comfortable & functioned well. For those of you who like prints & unique colors, I purchased the Magnolia Print in Jubilee Blue. The blue is kind of a slate muted blue. It's pretty & fun! They had other colors & prints I considered too. If you backpack alone, this pack is not large enough for overnight trips. I also think it's not quite large enough for today's high school/college students who carry at least 3 books, notebooks, computer, & backpack. It may be fine for elementary students if their 3-ring binder fits.

I’m in love with this

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m in love with this backpack. First of all, it’s difficult for me to find anything in my favorite shade of green(s) (but this has it), so my choice was clear after I decided that this was the pack for me. I love that it has seperate compartments inside, as well as the extra shove it storage in the front. It has just enough space for everything, whether it be a day trip, weekend trip, carry on, and going to class. I use it for everything. You won’t regret this one if you’re deciding between this and the Daylite.

Great Multiuse Pack

I recently took up bike commuting again, so I am always looking for ways to lighten my load. During a recent trip, I saw this pack, and it checked off several features I was looking for in a commuting backpack. The Daylight Plus is lightweight, comfortable, and the right size to carry everything I need for my outings. The Daylight Plus also is excellent for day hikes or walking around town, but I prefer my Talon 22 for getting into the woods. The only thing I wish the Daylight Plus had was the lid lock system to make it easier to carry my helmet when I walk around after arriving at my destination.

Great backpack

Great backpack. Love the color scheme, looks better in person. The side bags are big enough to hold a 32 oz bottle. However the space inside is small. Overall, happy with the purchase.

Good light travel bag

the last thing in the world I needed was another back pack, but here I was checking out my options for an upcoming adventure that none of my other backpacks was right for. I really like the handy side pockets on this bag, and the quick (but secure) access pockets. and the right size cargo space for a bunch of misc. junk, but not to deep that you can't find what your looking for. I haven't had it long enough to rate its long term durability, but it sure seems well made. So far, I feel that it has been worth the money I spent on it.

Uncomfortable for short people and scratchy fabric

My 30+ year old Eastpak finally decided to bite the dust, and I thought I would spring for something trendier, and more expensive, with a water bladder, so I wouldn't have to carry so many water bottles with me. I am 65 years old, 5'2"", 140 pounds, walk a 3.5-4.0 MPH for 90 minutes a day, so I'm reasonably fit for 65. I wanted something just for day hiking, because I am headed to Utah for a week in May to hike with my granddaughter. This pack is adjustable, but I have taken it out twice and I have yet to be able to adjust it so that either the handle doesn't scrap the back of my neck, or the shoulder straps don't scrap the insides of my arm. The fabric is very uncomfortable. I wish I had not purchased this product and will probably end up donating it to good will. There was no one who could help me adjust it so that it fits properly where I bought it. I thought I could figure it out on my own, but alas, no. If I had kept the receipt, this would definitely be returned. Everyone seems to love this, but not me.

I got the Daylite Plus

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got the Daylite Plus to act as a compliment to my Farpoint 40 for travel. I'm really pleased with how it can attach on the Farpoint despite not being the Farpoint-specific daypack, because this gives me a daypack with a bit more space. The main compartment holds a surprising amount of stuff for its size, and the bag is really comfortable to wear and carry. It worked really well being carried through the airport and also serving as a daybag for both around the city and campground camping. The colors are really vibrant too, which makes it look sleek and stylish. I also really appreciated how the service was quick and easy from ordering to delivery.
