Very comfortable but could use improvement.

Saw these in the store and started thinking if I needed some $68 shorts. I’ve had some similar Lululemon shorts I’ve worn quite often for the past 3 years and figured a nice pair of these would be worth it. I wear between a 32-34 waist and tried the mediums as suggested. They seemed really tight so went for the large. They felt a little loose but I thought I was better off since they have a draw string. After wearing them for a couple weeks during my runs, weightlifting, paddleboarding and even casually around town, I still feel like I’m in between sizes. I haven’t had to use the drawstring to keep them on my waist but the brief liner keeps riding up and although still very comfortable feels like it’s not supportive and doing its job. (by the way, I’m not wearing any kind of underwear because of the liner) Although these shorts are marketed for everything from sports to casual wear, when I wear them around town after a workout or activity, I still look and feel like I’m wearing workout clothes. Other than that, the style, fit and build seems like they will last for years to come if they don’t get too loose and stretched out. If I purchased a second pair, it’d be hard to say what size I’d buy this time so we’ll see.

Thin fabric. Not for hiking

I bought these 4 months ago. They were working out great for day to day use. Unfortunately on my first day hike with them, they ripped when they snagged on a tree trunk I was sitting on. The thin material is not made for the outdoors. Vuori sells at REI and other outdoor stores but its thin material is really only for basic gym and day to day use. I would not purchase this again.

Fix the tie!

I love Vuori, so much so I own 4 pairs of shorts. They are perfect for running, but also I feel comfortable wearing them for normal everyday wear. My only issue, and it is a big one, is the tie in the front. The ties on all of my pairs have gotten caught or tangled and wound badly in the dryer. The metal ends have all pulled off exposing the frayed ends of the string and a few of the pairs the strings were so tangled they are no longer flat but are wound and don’t work well. They definitely don’t look great either, they look cheap. Again, I love these shorts, but I really hope they figure out how to make a better string and or put them on the inside of the shorts

Favorite shorts

Bought these for my husband as he was looking for a new pair of workout/lounge shorts but wasn't sure which brand to go with. These were a hit and we've bought three more pairs since! The material is insanely soft and durable, the fit is perfect, not too long or too tight but yet not too short or loose. It's was his first pair with the liner attached and he was not sure how he would feel about it but he does not mind it at all but he has said he would not run in them. Overall these are his go to shorts on a daily basis and we will be purchasing more.

Comfortable but seams frayed after 2 weeks

Initially I loved these shorts. They are extremely comfortable and the fit is great. However, after two washes and about 5 days of wear, the seams down the sides began to remove themselves (see terrible photo). I doubt they will last much longer. Super bummed.

Send Reinforcements!

The metal tips on the drawstrings earned me a special “crotch and groin” (not my words) screening at the airport, so that was fun. I’ve purchased three pairs of these now for thru hiking because they are comfy and the liner is nice. But the crotch rips out of each pair about 400 miles in and the hole gets larger and larger. Honestly, TSA probably didn’t need to pat me down, he coulda just looked up my short hole to see I had no metal weapons up there. Time to stop the dreaded REI return cycle and just get some stretchy, reinforced running shorts for thru hiking. These are some pretty great wear-around-town shorts, though, so if you don’t plan on doing lots of bending and stretching they will probably work for you.

Great casual/workout shorts

These are comfortable general-purpose shorts with the minimum number of pockets to be practical (two side and one back). Good wicking properties for active pursuits but does not look out of place for casual wear out and about. Only negative that keeps this from a 5-star rating: the liner has a substantial seam that runs right up the middle front which can rub sensitive areas during serious workouts.

Never Taking Them Off

And I mean it. These shorts are perfect. If you're not convinced, go try them on. I've been against "liner" in shorts because I like some freedom, but these feel amazing and you get the feeling of going commando with some incredible support. Also the shorts have an anti-odor property, which is great because they last a lot longer than other shorts between washes. The fit is perfect and I get compliments on them all the time. Staying in these all summer!

I wish I could rate them higher

I love the style of these shorts: they look good, they feel good to the touch, and I love the idea of an “athletic” style liner. But wearing them is another thing. I wear them around the house and doing errands. Nothing actually athletic because they’re a little thick and heavy. Even doing these menial tasks, the Vouri shorts have got to be the least breathable shorts on the planet. Today in Denver it’s a hot summer day and drive to the store. By the time I get out of the car (maybe 10 minutes) the backs of my thighs are sweating. And this is inside an air conditioned vehicle. I won’t mention what happens to other parts. I really wish I could enjoy these more but I’m sad to say Vuori missed the mark.

Great shorts

These shorts I stumbled across while at an rei on vacation. I went in for one thing, walked out with an idea of buying these, when I got home I bought a few pair and all I can say is wow. So comfortable. Extremely soft material. Perform really well on runs and walks, working from home, and more. They come in so many great styles. I’d recommend these to anyone looking for shorts with a built in liner. Forgot to mention that... the liner is awesome and super comfortable!

Inner shorts bunching up between my legs

I have some Vuori favorites but the Kore Shorts were uncomfortable while hiking - just socks, shoes, t-shirt and the Kore Shorts on. With every step they pull against the tops of my thigh with built-in resistance. An uncomfortable fit on my thin body is odd but the inner shorts bunch up on the left side between my legs and just keep twisting and bunching up there with every step up the mountain. The material feels very nice but they do not work well on me like the REI Active Pursuit Shorts do.
