Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good.... unfortunately not great Worked great as poncho, in that material kept us dry in a deluge in the White Mtns (and did not trap perspiration) and did not flap much in wind like other ponchos. Problem was it was impossible to fit backpack underneath, limiting its use to just day hikes from base camp. Bottom line: Does not completely suit our needs for the $$, so will return. Of course YMMV. Also, its length makes it hard to get in& out of. Did not have chance to try bivvy or tarp function.
