Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good But Needs Improvement I have the mid-hiker style in the Gypsum shoes and really like the support it has. Based on that I decided to try the low version of this model for warmer temperatures. Unfortunately, the low hiker did not have the same support for the foot as the mid-hiker. I walked around the house with these shoes for a few days. The first day, they felt great. After that I notice my feet sinking deeper into the shoe and then the heel started to slip out. For my feet, the back of the heel was too loose. Thicker socks made no difference as I was unable to lace the shoe tighter around the heel (like Targhee). Because of the structure associated with a mid-hiker style, the heel is kept stable. I like the Gypsum but it did not work for me. Also, the insoles for these shoes are thin and flimsy. I usually have to replace them with expensive after-market insoles (Superfeet). At these prices, shoe manufacturers should use better materials for the insole.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect I got these after my 8 yr old Keens finally fell apart. I got the same size as my old ones which had a high ankle. At first I though the heels were too loose but the laces tighten up well so no problems. I've worn them literally every day since I got them. They look nice and keep the mud and puddles out.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Feels hot Fit my feet really but seems to get hot more than my previous hiking shoes, even in the winter. For this reason can only wear with breathable socks. Aside from this the fit feels great to me and I am pleased with the quality
