Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best hiking pants i've ever owned! I love these pants! I bought them for a two week road trip and never took them off. They are stretchy enough to hike and climb but strong enough to not snag on rocks or plants. Comfy to wear in the car while traveling too. I loved that I can wear them with my hiking boots, trail runners and then throw on flip flops. Perfect for some fun on the trails and recovery at the brewery. I am pear shaped and always struggle to find hiking pants that fit through my thighs, are huge in the waist and don't make me look ridiculous. These pants conquered all those issues. And the pockets are wonderful too!! Seriously, cannot say enough good things.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My new go-to climbing pants Absolutely love these pants! They are super durable and give ample stretch for all my indoor and outdoor rock climbing needs. Yet, they look good enough that I wore them to my (very casual) workplace and no one could tell they were meant for outdoorsy wear. The "media" pocket is actually large enough to fit my massive smartphone in case and still snap close! The pants are extremely comfortable, and I love the fact that they're a 28" inseam. I'm 5'1" and, because I'm short, they fit like proper long pants on me, rather than ankle length pants, which is a happy plus in my book. I can't praise these pants any higher. I never want to take these off.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great all-around pants I originally ordered these for work pants (I'm a geologist) to wear in the field. Most hiking pants I've found in the last couple years aren't sturdy and are made of lighter fabric, which makes sense for strenuous hiking- but the make and material on these pants are fantastic. I don't think I'll be using them at work, but I have been wearing them biking and they are perfect. I can imagine they'll work well for climbing too. My only gripe was that the sizing wasn't consistent with older Mountain Hardwear pants that I've had in the past. I recall size 4 being a little too tight, so I ordered it anyway and it's actually a little too big. I like them so much I think I'm going to purchase a smaller size 2 in another color and wear both. I was so happy to find them on sale, but I like them so much I'm willing to pay full price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Versatile, lightweight and oh! so comfortable I purchased these as the spring/summer replacement for my North Face Ansley Cargo pants. I am a dog trainer and need strong but lightweight fabrics that allow movement and do a good job of repelling slobber! These pants are perfect. So comfortable with the ankle cuff and stretch fabric. Pockets are also well thought out and useful.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from awesome hiking pants-tested on Nova Scotia trails I got these pants for my trip to Nova Scotia National Parks and they performed beautifully. Lightweight but made of fabric that will stand the rigors of many trail types. I love the color and the pockets. They moved with my body without tugging or pulling. I got them in size 16 and they were true to size.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for my hiking trips! Great pants! Comfortable for long hikes, or just to wear to town. Love the earth tone color--goes with all of my other hiking gear ;) Breathable, yet sturdy and snag resistant for trails. A bit overpriced I think, but I used a coupon and got a good deal. I'm usually a 6, but the 4 fit better. (I'm 125, 5ft 4in)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Functional and cute The coolest freaking pants! So functional, perfect fit, and look great worn in different environments. I bought these pants for landscape work, and the pockets have really been handy. Im a pear shape, usually an 8. Ordered an 8 but they were too big. The 6 is perfect!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sweatpants aren't even this comfy Bravo mtn hardwear! Not sure how you did it, but these are the most comfortable pants I own. I wish it weren't a hundred degrees out, so it could live in them. Great movement range for climbing, I don't even notice I'm wearing anything. Amazing.

Mountain hard wear scrambler pants I have a 28 in waist and wt. is 110 lb 5'3". would size 4 or 6 fits? I normally wear 6 in REI pants.

Asked by: priscilla
I'd size down if you're unsure as these pants do run a little big. I wear a size 2 or 4 in most pants, and the size 2 has some wiggle room on me (but not enough that I'd size down any further).
