Size chart

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great jacket! Slim fitting - check sizing. This jacket is great (and long)! Colour (red) is vibrant and fit is exactly what I wanted from a waterproof/breathable and durable shell for use snowboarding/in the back country. I am tall (5'11", 140lbs) and finding a jacket that covers my bum has been difficult-but this jacket covers it! When looking at the sizing chart and using the fit guide my measurements put me exactly in the middle of all measurements for a size Medium. And the Medium fit VERY well if I wore only a single layer (e.g. for day-to-day use this fit was super flattering). If I tried to put a mid-layer or thin puffy jacket underneath I found it to be too snug in the shoulders and body and was tight enough to be compressing the puffy jacket underneath. I have now upsized to the Large which I found I have much better range of motion in the shoulders and can still fit a layer or two underneath comfortably. Just my opinion on the fit - it seems to be quite slim through the body/hips overall compared to other NF shells I have tried - which works well for me because I don't have very big hips but if you're a curvy girl it may impact what jacket you find fits you best! (e.g. The North Face L5 was WAY too big for me in the body/hip area in size Large and looked like a tent in the hip area!). Happy shopping!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love the slimmer fit I tried this on in a store in a size Small. The fit is slim (which I love), but it's very slim in the waist area and a bit baggy in the shoulder upper body area. I recommend sizing up at least one size if you want to be able to comfortably zip the thing up :D I'm debating between this and one of their less expensive jackets..I'm not skiing like every weekend so I don't know if I want to spend $600+ on my ski jacket. Looking at this one and the Thermoball Triclimate, which is a 3-in-1 but a good alternative at a lesser price point for occasional skiers.
