This two part workshop will discuss the realities of hiking with children, infant through preschool and beyond, while offering realistic (and tested!) solutions, including using child carriers, to make getting outside with the whole family fun. Participants are welcome to bring their own carriers for a fit check at the end of the program. Alex Sparrow is a Certified Babywearing Consultant, Cloth Diaper Educator, Certified Postpartum Doula, and Certified Wild Mushroom Forager with The Well Carried Child: A Postpartum Support Service. She offers virtual and concierge small group classes and private consultations for caregivers and birth workers to learn about Babywearing, Cloth Diapering and Postpartum Planning. She lives in Raleigh with her husband and three children. They enjoy hiking, foraging, baking and visiting local breweries in their free time.
