Native Species Planting at Waikiki Springs Nature Preserve

Do you like enhancing wildlife habitat? Getting your hands dirty? Working with your friends at the Inland Northwest Land Conservancy? If you answered yes to any of those questions, join for a morning of native species planting at the Conservancy's Waikiki Springs Nature Preserve property along the Little Spokane River! Waikiki Springs Nature Preserve is a beautiful and loved 95-acre wildlife preserve north of the Little Spokane River near Fairwood. The land is incredibly diverse in vegetation, wildlife, and geology. Inland Northwest Land Conservancy and volunteers have been hard at work developing new, sustainable trails, thinning unhealthy or dense trees to protect forest health and prevent wildfire, and planting native species to support native plant and wildlife biodiversity! INLC will provide all the tools, plants, and instructions - all you need to bring are weather-appropriate clothes and good planting vibes! There are two plantings register for October 8th and October 15th below.
