Virtual: National Public Lands Day Event with the ANF

The Angeles National Forest, is hosting a National Public Lands Day Event! We're using ANF Social Media (Facebook and Twitter) to educate new and existing forest users on the importance and benefits of Leave No Trace. It is a 7 day event, (9/19-9/25) where we will highlight 1-7 LNT Principals. It is also Woodsy Owl's 50th Birthday who will be asking us to "Lend a Hand, Care for the Land." Woodsy's message comes at a time of increased forest visitation as recreation enthusiast are visiting the forest in record numbers. As the ANF experiences more forest users, we want to take this NPLD as an opportunity to educate users on the importance and benefits of LNT. Spread the content we share with your friends and family! We are also using the NPLD to celebrate all the great work that ANF volunteers accomplish. Volunteers help the ANF with educating the recreating public, maintaining miles of trails for all user groups, maintaining developed recreation sites, and so much more! This NPLD, the San Gabriel Mountains Community Collaborative will be launching a webpage that will help connect future/potential volunteers to existing projects on the ANF! "Lend a Hand, Care for the Land!"
