More Saltese, Please - National Public Lands Day

For almost thirty years we have been celebrating National Public Lands Day in our nation and this year INLC would like to invite the community to join us at Saltese Uplands to celebrate. The conservancy is working to permanently protect 55 additional acres bordering the County Conservation Area and open it to the public. Our public lands are a very real and tangible resources accessed by all and protected for the generations to come. Come connect with your public lands by learning, playing, and volunteering on September 25th. Attendees will have a hands on the land experience in small to mid-sized groups before reconvening for a few words and celebration of our public lands at Saltese. Activities to choose from: - 1:00 PM Saltese Flats Birding Tour with author Jack Nisbet - 1:00 PM Saltese Uplands Clean-Up (volunteer clean-up of trails and park) - 1:00 PM Saltese Uplands barb wire removal - 1:30 PM Mtn Bike Ride: Scenic Tour of Saltese Uplands
