This April, make an impact in your community! California State Parks Foundation is teaming up with REI and calling on passionate park champions across the state to build climate resilience in celebration of Earth Day. HOW TO PARTICIPATE: Step 1) Register for your virtual Earth Day kit. Quantities are limited - secure yours today! Step 2) Starting April 1, pick up your kit from your local REI store. It will include a compostable trash bag, sticker, magnet, an REI coupon, and a postcard with more details and instructions. Step 3) Plan with your household and decide when/where you want to make an impact throughout the month of April. It can be anywhere! Your own street, a local playground, a state park or nearby beach are all great options. Step 4) Remember to keep track of how many bags of litter you collect and record it at https://volunteer.calparks.org/virtualearthday by May 1 and you could win a special prize.
