Love wildflowers but don't know where to go to see the best ones in Atlanta? Join us at one of our favorite local spots for viewing uniquely gorgeous blooms just outside the city: Davidson-Arabia Mountain Nature Preserve. Through a combination of natural evolution and human interaction, this unique geological wonder provides an other worldly hiking experience punctuated by dollops of native wildflowers. In the spring you may see the crimson and white diamorpha smallii carpeting areas of the cratered granite surface. In fall you're more likely to see fields of yellow daisies. And throughout the year, whenever it rains, the lichens and mosses bring the lifeless granite into vivid detail unmatched by any other landscape in Georgia's piedmont. Come with us and let us show you exactly where the most colorful life has found a way to thrive among the granite today!
