Virtual: Wonder Women of the Dunes

Dive into regional history and storytelling with a new installment of the "Wonder Women of the Dunes." With this virtual presentation, we will learn about the woman who kept the Michigan City lighthouse for over 40 years, the "Lady of the Lake", the Hoosier Prairie advocate, and the founder of the Dunes Learning Center. Learn and discuss the traits these women had in common and how we continue to be inspired by their stories. This fun evening will be presented by Kim Swift, Chief of Education at Indiana Dunes National Park. She began her career as a Peace Corps volunteer in Papua New Guinea; learned about the park service as a Student Conservation Association intern at Shenandoah; joined the team at Indiana Dunes in 1992 as an interpretive park ranger; hopscotched through the ranks of interpretation in a variety of roles but always focusing on visitor services and education as the path to saving the world, or at least her corner of it. $10-20 (Please consider purchasing the higher level if you will have multiple people watching from one connection.)
