This season more than any other, people are ready to get outside. Are you thinking of getting out there in snowy terrain? Have you ever camped in the snow? The Snow Camping Section of the Sierra Club SF Chapter will share with you 51 years of experience virtually over a series of Zoom meetings starting on January 6! Winter sports can be overwhelming, the questions are endless: can you use your 3 season gear? Is the trail you know available? Do you need a snow shovel? We are fans of snow, so much that we like camping in/on it. Join the SF Sierra Club in this series, each one independently themed and presented by one of their experienced leaders. Every Wednesday at 6:30-7:30 pm PT, starting January 6, 2021. SF Sierra Club will present what they know best and answer all questions. Get ready to learn how to camp in the winter and in snow, what it takes to create a shelter in the snow, what gear you need, how to prepare and what you might have not thought of that will make your trip safer. If you are a hiker that wants to start snowshoeing, or are more advanced and looking for adventure, this is for you. Expand your outdoor knowledge and feed your curiosity!
