Book a private session and you'll get this entire experience all to yourself--and up to three additional friends or family members. You'll enjoy more one-on-one time with the guide/instructor, more flexibility throughout the session, and a more personal experience for everyone who joins you. Our REI instructors will take you out and show you the basics of starting, stopping, turning and gliding across the snow on classic cross-country skis. After our skill-building session, we'll go out on the trail to practice our new found skills and discover a great way to get outside in the winter!
Instructors will cover basics of choosing and properly fitting equipment (boots, skis, and poles), fundamentals of classic cross-country skiing, including starting, stopping, ascending and descending hills as well as safely falling.
Private sessions can accommodate up to four participants, but you'll only need to enter your own information when registering. We'll collect any details we need from the other participants on the day of the event.
