On this loop hike off the Blue Ridge Parkway, we'll explore the open meadows that give this trail its name while keeping an eye out for the critters that call this area home. If we're lucky, we might even cross paths with some fresh blueberries! We'll wind our way along the lush trail towards the viewpoints of two cascading waterfalls, stopping for ample breaks to take in the sweet smell of this alpine meadow. Along the way, we'll share some hiking tips and offer insight into the region's history and ecosystem.
