  • Instructor Don King, Mushroom Hunter

Join wild food enthusiast Don King (aka The Mushroom Hunter) for a presentation on wild edible plants and mushrooms that can be found in spring right here in Northeast Ohio. From morels to fiddleheads, Don will explain how and where to find these natural treasures, as well as how to sustainably harvest, prepare, cook, and preserve them. Don's enthusiasm for wild foods stems from his passion for cooking, where he believes that the freshest ingredients yield the tastiest results. This philosophy has led to five Vegan Iron Chef titles, an annual event sponsored by Standing Rock Cultural Arts. He makes regular appearances on Fox 8's New Day Cleveland and has been featured on NPR's Good Eats with Vivian Goodman.
