Join REI for a two-wheeled waterfall tour! Transylvania County is known as "The Land of Waterfalls", many of which are in Dupont State Recreational Forest. We'll travel 10-12 miles throughout the forest on gravel roads, visiting several waterfalls and mountain lakes along the way. Our professional guides will share history of the area, as well as offer tips and basic instruction to make your ride enjoyable. Don't have a bike? We'll provide mountain bikes for participants at no additional charge. Recommended for those 14 and older; those under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or responsible adult. This class is for those who are already comfortable riding a bike on rolling terrain.

Closed toed shoes
Face Covering(s) - Masks should be two or more layers and fit snugly under the chin and over the nose and mouth. Please come prepared with more than one as your primary mask may get wet and no longer be functional.
Personal Prescription Medications - Including, but not limited to, epinephrine auto-injectors for anaphylactic allergies.
Snacks
Sun Protection - Lip balm, sunscreen, wide-brim hats, etc.
Water Bottle
Weather Appropriate Clothing - Moisture wicking synthetic or wool layers to help keep you comfortable and/or dry.

Personal Bike - Recently tuned and appropriate for class. Also bring spare tubes.

Group First Aid Kit - Contents include wound care items and over the counter medications for minor injuries and illnesses
From Dupont Road, turn onto Sky Valley Road (smooth gravel). Travel 1.6 miles and turn right into the Guion Farm Parking Area. Please meet your guides in the main parking lot.
