Meet your REI guides in historic Saint Elmo and ride up the Lookout Mountain Incline Railway - a 1 mile train ride at a 72% grade up one of the steepest railways in the country. On top the mountain you'll get outfitted with a full suspension mountain bike for a 7-mile guided mountain bike tour. Your trip descends 1600 feet in elevation with almost no pedaling needed down the mountain on an old railway bed converted to packed double track trails. This trip is great for anyone with a little bit of biking experience - we'll provide basic instruction before the ride, but an ability to control a bike under some speed is required. The tour will finish at the local brewpub where REI will buy you a round of local craft beer, cocktail, or wine.
