Gearing up for the Camino
- Group size: 30
- Instructor: REI
The Camino de Santiago is a network of ancient pilgrimage routes in Europe ending at the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela in Spain. The most popular is the Camino Frances, a 500 mile route beginning in France and crossing northern Spain to Santiago de Compostela. The Southern Oregon Chapter of American Pilgrims on the Camino is here to support residents of our community who are interested in undertaking this walk. One of the first questions that people have is "what kind of gear do I need?" We would like to help you answer that question with this presentation. Please join us for a slide show, presentation and interactive discussion about preparation, gear selection and what to expect when walking the Camino. Veteran pilgrims will be sharing the contents of their packs. Come hear their insights about what works and what doesn't. Perhaps you will get some ideas of what you want to include on your holiday wish list this year.
