Bikepacking lets you cover more miles than hiking plus you can access dirt roads and trails that may be inaccessible to other vehicles. In this class we will cover various aspects of bikepacking including outfitting your bike, gear to bring, and trip planning tips. Charly Aurelia loves exploring by bike and has ever since exploring the streets of his childhood hometown. He is a Regional Advisor for Bikepacking Roots, a nonprofit public lands and bikepacking advocacy group, and is the Trails Coordinator for Pisgah Area SORBA (Southern Off Road Bicycle Association), as well as maintaining other trails, including parts of published bikepacking routes, throughout WNC. He is presenting/recently presented at the Bikepacking Summit in Ellijay, GA. With an extensive background in minimalist living and adventure travel, and as a professional educator, Charly invites you to come learn about exploring by bike, often needing little more than the gear you already may have.
