Backpack with us on Georgia's largest and southernmost barrier island! Cumberland Island has many maritime forests, undeveloped beaches, and wide marshes to explore on this weekend getaway. In this amazing landscape, you'll likely encounter wild horses, catch a glimpse of dolphins and camp nestled under the island's iconic gnarled oak. We'll set up camp after a comfortable 3 mile hike and prepare a warm, nutritious meal for you to savor as you take in this experience of a lifetime. This trip is perfect for anyone with a bit of prior hiking experience, as you'll have to be comfortable walking with a loaded pack over uneven terrain. We'll take care of all the reservations on the island, ferry tickets, and food preparation. All necessary backpacking and camping equipment will be provided. All you need is your camera, some good walking boots and sense of adventure!
