National Public Lands Day - Skyline Ridge Trail

We invite you to join us for some trail work at the trails at Skyline Ridge Park. Work will consist of installing new trail wayfinding signs, clearing brush, refinishing and resurfacing sections of trail. This will be a fun short work day, 10am-2pm, with snacks and some SWAG sponsored by REI. This project is supported by the Fairbanks North Star Borough Parks and Recreation Department, REI Fairbanks, the Interior Alaska Trails and Parks Foundation, and Alaska Trails. Alaska Trails will provide extra tools and safety gear. Signs and materials are donated by the Interior Alaska Trails and Parks Foundation, courtesy of an REI "Loving our Local Outdoors" grant. Fairbanks North Star Borough will provide equipment. Come out and celebrate National Public Lands Day and feel good lending a hand to keep your local trails in tip-top shape! Come dressed and prepared for working outdoors in the elements. Sturdy closed-toe shoes, long pants, gloves, and eye protection are required. Skyline Ridge Park is located at the corner of Noel Drive and MIA Drive. - No pets. - All participants must sign waivers. - Minors need to have their guardian sign the waiver.
