Survival Bootcamp

The Wekiva Wilderness Trust is hosting a Survival Bootcamp at Rock Springs Run State Reserve. The course has been designed for family group participation. All the techniques are good skills to use in the great outdoors. WHAT TO BRING: Apart from water, bug spray, sun screen and LUNCH, each participant is asked to bring about 20 feet of strong string, parachute cord or similar, a knife and two large black garbage bags. COST: The cost for the workshop is $10 a person payable on the day (which counts as a donation to the Wekiva Wilderness Trust). He has backpacked, climbed, canoed, ridden and skied throughout Europe, North America, Africa, Asia, the Arctic, Australia and New Zealand. He cofounded the first environmental outdoors magazine in the UK in the 1970's and has written several books on camping, survival and the great outdoors.
