Many of us begin to doubt our ability to keep doing the recreational activities that we love as we pass 50 years, especially when we experience the inevitable physical setbacks. Most of these setbacks can be overcome. Our bodies will remain resilient and strong if we are willing to adopt some common-sense practices. Attend this clinic and we can have an enjoyable time discussing methods which can postpone the travails of aging and keep the fun going. Topics include: keeping old injuries under control, diversification of activities, knowing your limits, 'teaching an old dog new tricks', and a lot more. 'Dr.' Bruce Farrenkopf has been involved in a variety of outdoor activities for several decades. In addition to his ongoing experience as a whitewater boater, snowboarder, skier, rock climber and backpacker, 10 years at REI has exposed him to many Reno and Tahoe recreationalists who have shared their extensive knowledge. It is time to share this accumulated experience and knowledge on how best to 'stay in the game'.
